Silver Star Auto's assembly plant in Tema, Ghana, inaugurated on March 25th, is now manufacturing the Peugeot 3008 hybrid and will soon produce the new light commercial vehicle, the Peugeot LANDTREK 1-ton pickup. Silver Star Auto is the exclusive trading partner of the Peugeot and Citroën brands in Ghana. The new partnership between Peugeot and Silver Star Auto contributes to Peugeot's internationalization and strengthens the company's image and presence in Africa.

The start of production at the Silver Star Auto assembly plant of the Peugeot 3008, the famous SUV, marks a milestone in the partnership between Peugeot and Silver Star Auto in Ghana. The new assembly plant houses the Peugeot model production lines in dedicated areas. The initial production capacity is 4,500 vehicles per year. The plant in Tema, Accra Region, Ghana, is owned by the Kalmoni family.

After a commercial partnership that began in 2019, Silver Star Auto imports and distributes a wide range of Peugeot models covering different mobility needs: the Peugeot 2008 SUV, Peugeot 3008 hybrid, Peugeot 5008, the Peugeot 301 and Peugeot 508 sedans, and the light commercial vehicle, the Peugeot LANDTREK pickup (assembled in Tunisia). Each model embodies the values ​​of Peugeot: top performance, charm, and emotion, which stand for striking design, intuitive driving pleasure, and quality.

With 25 years of knowledge, Silver Star Auto has a strong tradition and presence in the Ghana automotive market with service points nationwide serving Peugeot customers' sales and after-sales needs.
