Jeep finds a way out of the long delivery times, mainly due to the global lack of semiconductors and possibly soon expiring government environmental bonus, especially for plug-in hybrids.
Due to global supply chain problems, car buyers face long, sometimes unpredictable, delivery times for new cars. If the ordered car is delivered too late, it may no longer be possible to apply for an environmental bonus.
Against this background, Jeep guarantees all private customers the delivery of a Jeep Renegade 4xe or Jeep Compass 4xe (plug-in hybrid drive) ordered by May 31, 2022, by September 30, 2022, at the latest, thus enabling them to apply for government subsidies totaling up to EUR 7,177.50 gross this year.
Jeep is accelerating its path towards full electrification of its model range in Europe with this move. This electrification will be further completed in the second half of the year with the launch of the Grand Cherokee 4xe.
